So today I was inspired by this years trendy summer color of, orange, and to find the perfect way to use this color I went to one of my favorite inspirational websites, theperfectpalette.com.
Here she put together a beautiful combination of orange, gray & white. It's fun, fresh, and with the gray added to the scheme it still gives it a nice touch of elegance.

Custom Letterpressed Wedding Invitations - Pink Hearts Design
Nicole & Gerry had a very clear vision of what they wanted their wedding stationary to look like. Nicole wanted everything to look soft and vintagy and also elegant and classy. She also wanted to incorporate hearts, butterflies, stars and the color of pink and cappuccino brown.
We started with the Save the Dates. The design I came up with gave a little preview of what the invitation would look like. We used a heart design, with the swirls & butterflies and the letterpressing added to the vintage feel. A pink bow was added to the design, since we were going to add big bows to the wedding invitation set. And everything was mounted onto a cappuccino brown shimmery card stock.
A custom heart monogram was designed for Nicole & Gerry, and it was a main feature to the invitation set and used throughout the designs. The invitation was letterpressed, and mounted onto the cappuccino brown shimmery card stock, which was then all mounted onto the shimmery off white pocket enclosures.
Here are the rest of the details of the wedding invitation set. One swarovski crystal was added to each invitation, to add a touch of bling. The pocket enclosures were all wrapped with a pink bow and placed into matching shimmery invitation boxes that matched the pocket enclosures. Underneath the invitations was crinkle kraft paper and 2 Ghirardelli chocolates, that had a custom monogram wrapper around them. All the rsvp cards, direction card & rsvp envelope were clipped with a heart paper clip. Custom monogram tags were attached to the boxes and the to mail the boxes we wrapped all of them in kraft paper added custom address labels, and a custom rubber stamp with Nicole & Gerry's heart logo was made.
Rubber stamp
It was one of the most beautiful & detailed invitation we have designed so far. Remember to check back for the rest of the wedding accessories, the matching menus, placecards, signs, table numbers and thank you cards.

Sesame Street Party {Jackson's 1st Birthday}
Saturday, April 14th, we celebrated Jackson's First Birthday. Lisa and I have been planning this little soiree for quite sometime and finally it was all put together. You've probably seen Lisa's picture quite a few times on the blog, just because I've designed everything for her wedding, her birth announcements and now her son's first birthday party. It's been quite an honor being a part of this wonderful family's life. And the best part is that I've gained a new friend in Lisa, who loves parties as much as I do :)
So on with the details from the party....
First off, the invitations. We did a bi-folded 5x7 wide folded invitation, that had pictures of Jackson from throughout the year. I think it's always fun to incorporate the pictures from the year, just because babies change so much from the day they are born till they turn one.
To order this Sesame Street invitation, go to our Etsy store at www.etsy.com we also have 5x7 for sale on the site as well. Or if you are looking for a custom invitation that you don't see on our website, invitationparlour.com or our etsy store, then contact us at info@invitationparlour.com
Dessert Table. We designed the pennant banner & signs and labels to match the invite, for the various delicious dessert Lisa had. Colette's Events, designed the cake, chocolate elmo pops & cake pops....it was soooo cute, and delish!!
Lisa ordered a bunch of cute favors from etsy, including the sesame street frames, Elmo & Cookie monster pails, and the Zoe ponytail headbands. She also got the cute "Jackson" street sign there too.
Both Elmo & Cookie Monster came to the party to join in the fun.
Aww, look at that cute little smile.
Jackson really likes birthday cake :) mmmmm yum, yum, yum!!
Here is Jackson with his dad Nick, who, one is very handy, he made the second "Jackson Street" sign & two, makes the yummiest hamburger sliders!
And here is big sister Addy hanging out with Elmo
Here is Jackson with his mama, Lisa!
And here is my son, Aidan, who was one of the guests, dancing to the music :)

Fly Away with the Captain - Vintage Planes Themed Party
Time really flies when you're having so much fun! Seanny and I had a really great time putting together Navin's 6th birthday party.
My son has been a plane enthusiast since he was 2 years old. He's totally obsessed with planes and has his heart set on becoming a fighter pilot when he grows up. When he was 4 years old, we threw him a Fighter Jet themed party so this time our challenge was to come up with another "airplane" theme.
Have no fear, Navin is also into vintage WWII airplanes, so that's just what we did. His favorite plane from that era is the P-51 Mustang.
Where do I begin? With the design of the invitations of course, but you already knew that! (If you are interested in ordering this invitation, contact us at info@invitationparlour.com for more information.)
We also designed matching address labels and thank you cards to go with this party.
Ideas started flowing once we had the design down. (Drum roll please...) I present to you, our centerpiece table!
Here are the details for our treat table:
The entire table was decorated with the help of our wonderful girlfriends. We hung about eight
(15-inch) vintage planes from the ceiling and printed our own clouds backdrop. We made mini-airplanes out of tootsie rolls and gum sticks. We even made use of Navin's aircraft carrier and I made the runway. The treats on the table included home-made red velvet cupcakes, cake pops, jelly beans, chocolate bark, and lots of fun goodies found via Oriental Trading Co. We even gave out US Army lanyards, dog tag keychains, and pencils.
We also created name badges for all of the kids. We had about 26 kids at this party. All the kids were very excited to find their names on the table and proudly wore their badges. Navin was their Captain and they were his Lieutenants. As a surprise to Navin, we framed 10 of his drawings and displayed them like an art gallery. It put a smile on his face each time someone gave him a "high five" for his drawings. I bought the supplies to make the name badges at Staples. For the picture frames, I found them at the Dollar Tree store, what a steal! I highly recommend going there to look for favors and supplies.
But wait, I'm not done yet! I've got one more trick up my sleeve for our guests! I wanted to do something fun to get both kids and adults excited. Seanny and I came up with a "Pilot's License" photo prop. We made oversized licenses so that our guests could stick their head in a frame and make their own "Pilot's License". The result, our guests had a BLAST, as you can see in the photo collage below.
In conclusion, guests of all ages had one high-flying time!! As for our Captain Navin, he is one happy pilot!
