Bubble Birthday Party - Aidan turns 2!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe another year has flown right by. When they say it kids grow up fast, they weren't kidding! My little baby boy....not so much a baby anymore has just turned 2 on September 26th and we had a fun Bubble Bash for him.

I was toying around with some different birthday themes. I wanted to do something that I knew Aidan would like and was age appropriate for him but yet fun for everyone at the party of all ages. So I came up with bubbles! Simple and fun. I decided incorporate all aspects of bubbles....the bubbles we play with, bubble baths, and the popping of bubbles. I picked a color scheme and the rest fell into place. Check out all the fun details from the party.

Here are the invites. Even though bubbles are clear I still wanted lots of color, so I designed the invite with colored bubbles. You can order these invitations at: www.invitationparlour.com for matching favor tags, signs, etc, contact us at info@invitationparlour.com

Back of Invitation
For the dessert table we had a variety of treats that was associated with the word POP. Such as our Popcorn bar, Cake Pops, Tootsie Pops, and Rice Krispies Treats, because they go "Snap, Krackle and Pop" Of course we also had cupcakes and birthday cake, which I got at It's A Piece A Cake Bakery. They have the best Black Forest Chocolate Cake. I had the baker make the cake in a aqua blue frosting and I added the rubber duck and glass balls I found at Michaels to make it look like bubbles. For the background I cut out various size circles and made the birthday sign with my Silhouette. I also hung a bunch of clear balloons on the ceiling too look like bubbles.

For the favors, I had bubble bath, bubbles, and rubber ducks all packaged into a cute little popcorn box.

Some of the other fun food items that were associated with pop was our popcorn chicken and soda pop. I also made a blue punch that looked like a bath with rubber ducks floating in it. The recipe for the punch is at tidymom.net

So of course for the kid's activity I had bubbles. We bought a bunch of different bubble wands, and I had a bubble refill station, bubble guns and even a football that creates bubble when thrown. I also had a bunch of inflatable balls in the yard for the kids to throw around.

Sesame Street Party {Jackson's 1st Birthday}

Saturday, April 14th, we celebrated Jackson's First Birthday. Lisa and I have been planning this little soiree for quite sometime and finally it was all put together. You've probably seen Lisa's picture quite a few times on the blog, just because I've designed everything for her wedding, her birth announcements and now her son's first birthday party. It's been quite an honor being a part of this wonderful family's life. And the best part is that I've gained a new friend in Lisa, who loves parties as much as I do :)

So on with the details from the party....

First off, the invitations. We did a bi-folded 5x7 wide folded invitation, that had pictures of Jackson from throughout the year. I think it's always fun to incorporate the pictures from the year, just because babies change so much from the day they are born till they turn one.

To order this Sesame Street invitation, go to our Etsy store at  www.etsy.com we also have 5x7 for sale on the site as well. Or if you are looking for a custom invitation that you don't see on our website, invitationparlour.com or our etsy store, then contact us at info@invitationparlour.com

Dessert Table. We designed the pennant banner & signs and labels to match the invite, for the various delicious dessert Lisa had. Colette's Events, designed the cake, chocolate elmo pops & cake pops....it was soooo cute, and delish!!

Lisa ordered a bunch of cute favors from etsy, including the sesame street frames, Elmo & Cookie monster pails, and the Zoe ponytail headbands. She also got the cute "Jackson" street sign there too.

Both Elmo & Cookie Monster came to the party to join in the fun.

Aww, look at that cute little smile.

Jackson really likes birthday cake :) mmmmm yum, yum, yum!!

Here is Jackson with his dad Nick, who, one is very handy, he made the second "Jackson Street" sign & two, makes the yummiest hamburger sliders!

And here is big sister Addy hanging out with Elmo

Here is Jackson with his mama, Lisa!

And here is my son, Aidan, who was one of the guests, dancing to the music :)
